The Journey So Far
Unknowingly born into Music…
Some of my earliest memories are of waiting for Mum to head out shopping, tuning the radio to Life FM and turning it up very loudly! I’d sing along to every song I knew, completely in my own little world, at the top of my lungs. I was too shy to sing on front of anyone else so most people didn’t know I loved singing growing up.
A key part of my singing growth was my mum’s operatic singing that I’d often roll my eyes at. My other family members from both mum and dad’s side played piano, guitar, trumpet, saxophone and more, although I didn’t discover that until I was an adult.
Music as More than a Hobby…
For several years, I was part of a worship team where I had the opportunity to write and perform original music in church. It was a really special part of my musical journey and helped me grow not only as a singer, but also as a songwriter.
After tutoring music for two years in my home studio, I unskilled with a Diploma of Music Performance and Production at TAFE Qld, where I honed my skills in performance, music production and developed my love for working in Logic Pro. I played a variety of instruments, but singing has always been my main love.
Big Dreams and Big Loss…
I was ticking off all sorts of goals: performing at weddings, running an open mic, singing with a live 16 piece big band, releasing original music, making music videos and doing gigs singing songs I love.
Then my husband and I moved to South Australia right after I suddenly lost my mum to Stage 3 Leukaemia. Music went on the back burner for a year. I lost my hope in God, not completely, but I didn’t know how to get back to where I used to be. Through the grief process I wrote secret songs that only Jesus heard. I learned that God is faithful despite pain. Then I wrote my first positive song: ‘Over Me’ in 2026 and released it. Music became even more about ministry and I began to take it seriously.
Music as Ministry supported by Business…
Currently I’m working on releasing as much new music as I can, while also performing gigs around Adelaide to expand my repertoire and grow my audience. I will be using my music business to support my music as ministry as I am passionate about the songs God puts in my heart and how they have impacted me, and can impact others.
I’ve also got a side project I’m excited to announce. I’ve had ideas over the years for children’s books and recently a colouring book / devotional journal for those struggling with grief and loss. I will be publishing books on Amazon that I hope will encourage others.
When I’m not making music or working on a book, you’ll probably find me taking my dog to the beach, enjoying some downtime or spending time with my husband Jeremy — my number one fan and one of my biggest supporters.
I’m a musician, author and creative at heart, and I’m happiest when I’m making something. Whether that’s a song, a book or simply a new idea, I love creating things that connect with people.
Thanks for being here and taking a little time to get to know me!
